AMLHUB is releasing a new transaction monitoring module for real estate in October 2025. This first iteration of the module will alert you to variations between deal estimate and closing values, which will allow you to review for escalation of risk or potentially suspicious activity.

When will it go live?
The new module will go live on 1st October for real estate. Further releases for all other industries will follow.
Who will see it?
The module is configured for AMLCOs to manage. If you would like additional users to be able to access it, please let us know by emailing support@amlhub.co.nz
How does the tool work?
When a deal is created you will add the minimum and maximum estimated transaction value.
Verify the deal.
Once the deal has concluded, close the deal.
Add the closing transaction value and any notes.
You will be able to see it under the ‘closed’ column in your Deals module once this is done.
Navigating to Transactions, you’ll be able to view the deal under the ‘New’ tab.
Clicking into the deal will show you the following:
Client name
Any recent transactions they were involved in
Estimated range
Closing value
Variance between these
Risk rating
Who verified the deal and when
You can adjust the risk rating of the transaction up or down and include the narration as to why. You can also mark it as ‘Unusual’, which will route it to your Suspicious Activities Register for further evaluation.
Once the transaction has been resolved, you can view it under the ‘Resolved’ tab in the Transactions module.
How to use the module effectively
You must ensure that moving forward, each deal has the minimum and maximum value set and has been closed once completed.
Any transaction or deal left open will not be reviewed by the transaction monitoring tool.
Transaction monitoring tips
Narrations should be recorded against the transaction alerts:
Details of the nature and purpose of the transaction
An overview of the investigation performed
An explanation of why the transaction was/was not considered unusual or suspicious and the actions taken
Frequently Asked Questions
When I close the deal can I see what the estimated low/high amount was placed in the deal?
Yes, this has been added to the development releases, but will be released post 1 October 2025.
Once the deal is closed will it direct me to the transaction instead of having to select transactions tab?
There will be a number count on the transactions module that will increase whenever a new transaction has been added. You will be able to see when a transaction has been added that needs your review.
Will the transaction monitoring module be available to everyone?
It will be available to all real estate AMLCOs and nominated staff.
Is it possible to show any closing notes I make in the transaction monitoring?
Yes - there is a section in the transaction monitoring module where you can add any notes.
Can I add documents to the transaction monitoring module?
Not on this release - we will be adding this to a future release and it is in the development process now.
When is the release expected?
1 October 2025
Do I have to close all deals? I haven't been doing this.
In order to use the tool your deals have to be closed. It is up to you whether you want to go back historically and close deals. Be aware that this will change the dates. For support on this, email support@amlhub.co.nz
