SSO login error: "Need Admin Approval"

Users attempting first time login using Single-Sign-On (SSO) with Microsoft Office 365 encounter a "Need Admin Approval" error message.

Microsoft Office 365 is configured to require an IT administrator to approve AMLHUB's use of the login system.

Please forward this page to your IT admin.

  1. Ensure you're logged into the user's tenant as an admin by visiting the O365 admin center

  2. Open https://app.amlhub.co.nz

  3. Select the Microsoft SSO button

  4. Complete the O365 login with your admin account

  5. In the Permissions Requested page, select the "Consent on behalf of your organization" checkbox and click "Accept"

Note that AMLHUB will fail the login request (unless you have an AMLHUB account), but this is not necessary - the critical step here is the consent on behalf of the organisation.
