Remote electronic ID verification is used when a face to face meeting is not possible, or the individual does not have suitable documents available at the time.
The AMLHUB ID app presents the EIV option whenever an individual is processed:
Requesting remote verification forces the user to provide contact information:
The app enforces entry of a phone number and/or an email address - at least one is required.

Note that the above process does not immediately trigger remote verification request contact (email or SMS). Once the deal is handed over, the AML Admin must review and initiate the actual EIV process, resulting in outbound email and SMS contact.
